I'll Never Let Go
I want to let go, but I won't let go.
There are battles to fight by day and
by night and I'll never let go.
I'm sick and blue and worried
through and through but I won't let go.
I won't let go, but I won't let go I will never yield.
What lie down in the field and surrender my shield?
No! I'll never let go. I want to let go but I won't let go.
May this be my song against legions of wrong,
oh God keep me strong and I'll never let go.
--Author Unknown
We've all hit the wall from time to time!
What makes some of us get up, brush ourselves off and continue on
our way, while others give up?
When all seems to be lost and nothing seems to be going our way,
what keeps you from throwing in the towel?
When you seem to be running on fumes, with not a drop of energy
to spare, what keeps you going?
Many have quit long before you, so what keeps you from being another
stat on someone's ledger?
How can you develop a personal philosophy and personal Self-Contract
to guarantee extraordinary results?
Maybe it's by adopting the wise words of Emerson who once wrote:
Finish each day and be done with it.
You have done what you could.
Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in;
forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day;
begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit
to be cumbered with your old nonsense."
Ralph Waldo Emerson, 1803-1882
What if you were to develop a Self-Contract with yourself to ALWAYS
FINISH WHAT YOU START!
What if you were to have MASTERY as the only acceptable end result?
Could this be fuel for the undying fire of your soul?
Or maybe somewhere deep inside you have an Inner Knowing and a way
of Accessing it in the most hopeless of situations. As my friend
of the mind Ayn Rand so eloquently wrote:
"Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark, in
the hopeless swamps of the approximate, the not-quite, the not-yet,
the not-at-all. Do not let the hero in your soul perish, in lonely
frustration for the life you deserved, but have never been able
to reach. Check your road and the nature of your battle.
The world you desired can be won. It exists, it is real, it is possible,
it is yours."
--Ayn Rand
Maybe you have adopted a personal philosophy that says:
I will succeed or I will die trying!
Maybe somewhere deep inside, you too, like Theodore Roosevelt,
have realized that·
"Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs,
even though checkered by failure...than to rank with those poor
spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live
in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat."
--Theodore Roosevelt
What is it you need to know, be and do to guarantee that in those
most trying of moments even when your human eyes cannot see, your
Inner Eyes are squarely fixated on the finish line?
How can you keep it going when you would really rather quit? Do
you have the Inner and Outer tools to be able to sustain any hardship?
Remember,
"There is nowhere to hide on this rollercoaster
ride.
Self discovery is the goal you see.
And day to day, as the layers peal away.
We begin to find, what was left behind.
They can seal the files, but all the while.
We will still want to see, how we came to be.
They can say forget, but we won't quit.
Until at last, we own our past!"
--Karen Joiner
Are you ready to live from your Higher Self?
Are you ready to throw caution to the wind and dare to accomplish
extraordinary things?
Are you ready to develop an uncompromising, unshakable spirit of
optimism and Inner Knowing that WILL ALLOW YOU TO SMILE WHEN CONVENTIONAL
WISDOM SAYS YOU SHOULD BE HITTING YOUR HEAD AGAINST THE WALL?
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed
by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do.
So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor.
Catch the trade winds in your sails.
Explore. Dream. Discover."
--Mark Twain
