Why
are we still fat?
Why is it that you spend so much time in the gym, out on the running
trail, or working out at home, and you still don’t look the
way you want? You’re at the gym, I see you there. I see you
on the treadmill for what seems to me like hours at a time. For
all the time you spend exercising you should look like you just
stepped out of a fitness magazine. Instead, you’re still
struggling to fit into your favorite outfit.
The truth is your problem isn’t the exercise. The problem
is with your nutrition program. 80% of changing your body is nutrition
related.
Let’s change gear for a second and talk about our children.
Did you know that:
•6 million kids in this country are severely overweight; 1 in 4
are obese.
•Cancer kills more children than any other disease with more than
7000 new cases of childhood cancer every year.
•50% of obese adolescents remain obese as adults.
•Over 10% of school age children are ADHD.
•By age 12, 70% have developed beginning stages of hardening of
the arteries.
If these statistics don’t scare you, you really need to check your pulse!
The solution to our health and fitness crisis is really very simple – back
to basics nutrition with whole foods. Getting the results you’re looking
for in the gym will require a body transformation eating plan. To save our children
from a lifetime of obesity and degenerative illnesses, we MUST get them to eat
more fresh raw fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. And we must lead by example.
