Success Strategies to Transform Your Body and Your Life!
An Inside/Out Approach!
1. Get Specific
- What is it you want?
- Why? What's your reason (something you have some emotional investment
in).
- Have you made a conscious decision to change?
- Are you willing to do what it takes to succeed?
2. Honestly "See Yourself!"
- Take your clothes off and stand naked in front of a full-length
mirror.
- Then honestly ask yourself: "Do I like what I see?"
3. Get a Coach
- Remember, a coach/trainer has another pair of eyes to see things
that you're doing that you can't or won't see. If you're serious
about getting results, get a coach/trainer at least to get you
started!
4. Show Up, Whether You Feel Like it or Not!
- This concept I expand in my book, Dancing with God. Basically,
make an agreement with yourself that you will never skip your
exercise just because you "don't feel like it." Remember, successful
people do the things they need to do whether they feel like it
or not!
5. Develop a Realistic Fitness Plan and Follow It!
- To Lose FAT, You MUST Weight Train!
- To Experience Dramatic Results, fast, You've got to PUSH beyond
your Perceived Limits!
- Know Why you're doing what you're doing.
- Before you get to the gym, know exactly what you're going to
do AND how long you're going to be there...HAVE A PLAN!
- Low Intensity, Long Duration vs. High Intensity, Short Duration.
--Work towards being able to do a high intensity workout. Remember,
to shape steel into a sword, you have to burn it then hammer it
into shape. This is an intense process. Changing your body isn't
any less intense, if your goal is to get results!
6. Eat Intentionally, Not Accidentally!
- "You are what you eat!"
- Exercise is the spark, Nutrition is the fuel; without both there
is no flame.
- To lose fat, eat 5-6 small balanced meals everyday...six days
per week.
- Don't count calories, count "portions."
- Allow yourself a FREE day each week to eat whatever you want!
- Take JuicePlus+ at least 2-3 times per day!!!
7. Learn the Truth about Supplements Before Wasting Your Money!
- Creatine --don't need it, unless your lifting weights very intensely
4-5 times per week.
- Fat burners -- a waste of money!
- Energy drinks -- nothing more than sugar water!
8. Drink 10-12 Glasses of Water Everyday!
9. Be Consistent, Not Perfect!
- Success = Consistency + Time
- How do you remain consistent?
--have a plan and schedule your workouts the same way you would
any other important appointment. Take a few hours at the beginning
of each week and plan your nutrition and workout for the week.
You should know exactly what you're going to eat and do before
the beginning of each day! If you want to be successful!
